Alpe Adria Opatija 2011 > Report of the Coordinator During the Alps Adriatic Philately Working Community meeting which took place in Sopron in April 2010, I was appointed as AAP coordinator for the Alpe Adria Phila 2011 exhibition. The exhibition will take place from 14th to 27th April 2011 in Opatija, Croatia. This report is a little late, because the organizers did not send me any special information about the organization. The reason is probably due to the fact, that the coordinator has to report about the organization of the exhibition to the AAP president, but in this case the president of the organizing committee and the president of the AAP is the same person. I visited Hotel Kvarner in May 2010 during my occasional visit to Opatija. I have no comments regarding the Crystal Ball Room in Hotel Kvarner, where the exhibition will be placed. I believe that this place is a good choice for hosting a philatelic exhibition. The Organizer invited me for the first time to the meeting of the organizing committee in Opatija on 29th January 2011, to discuss the problem of too many exhibits registered by the commissioners from Austria and Croatia. In my opinion this has happened because the Austrian and Croatian commissioners have not done their commissioner’s job properly. They simply transferred the problem of rejected exhibits to the organizing committee. Unfortunately, I was not able toparticipate to that meeting since invited only two days in advance, and because at the same day I had to attend the FEPA board meeting in Prague; the FEPA board meeting was planned already in Lisbon in October 2010.
